Description

These Baked Feta Bites are a delicious and easy appetizer made by combining creamy feta cheese with tangy pizza sauce, all baked inside flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for parties or a savory snack, they’re bite-sized and packed with flavor, offering a crispy golden crust and a warm, cheesy center.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 1 (8-oz) can crescent rolls

Filling

  • 1 (6-oz) package crumbled feta cheese
  • ¾ cup pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the bites.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent rolls and press the dough into one large rectangle. Cut the rectangle into 24 equal squares. Place each square into the mini muffin cups, pressing and shaping the dough to cover the bottom and sides.
  3. Make Filling: In a small bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese with the pizza sauce until well mixed. This creates a creamy and flavorful filling with a rich, tangy taste.
  4. Fill Dough Cups: Spoon the feta and pizza sauce mixture evenly into each dough-lined muffin cup, filling them almost to the top.
  5. Bake: Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to spray the mini muffin pan well to prevent sticking.
  • Use quality pizza sauce for the best flavor.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
  • For a variation, add chopped fresh herbs like oregano or basil to the filling mixture.
  • These bites can be prepared ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
