Ingredients
Scale
Meat Mixture
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
Assembly & Toppings
- 6 slices American cheese
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Meat: Set an oven rack in the center of your oven and preheat it to 375°F. Line a sheet pan with a sheet pan rack. In a bowl, add the ground beef and pork. Sprinkle in the diced onions, salt, and burger seasoning, then lightly mix until combined.
- Shape and Bake Meat Patty: Lay a sheet of parchment paper on your work surface. Press the meat mixture onto the parchment paper and shape it into an 8×12-inch rectangle. Place the parchment paper with the shaped meat on the sheet pan rack. Cover the top of the meat with another sheet of parchment paper and place a second sheet pan on top, creating a press. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 150°F.
- Prepare Rolls: While the meat bakes, slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half lengthwise. Brush both sides of the rolls with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
- Assemble Sliders: When the meat has reached 150°F, remove the top sheet pan from the oven, then carefully remove the sheet pan holding the meat. Remove the top layer of parchment paper to reveal the large cooked meat patty. Use two large spatulas to lift and place the meat patty onto the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer the 6 slices of American cheese evenly over the meat, then place the top halves of the rolls on top. Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake Assembled Sliders: Return the assembled sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Slice the large slider sandwich into individual servings and serve on a platter. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ground meat reaches an internal temperature of 150°F for safety.
- If Hawaiian rolls are unavailable, you can substitute with other soft sweet rolls or slider buns.
- For added flavor, feel free to include pickles, mustard, or ketchup when serving.
- These sliders can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
- Butter brushing makes the rolls deliciously golden and enhances flavor.
