Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing (depending on preference)
- 3/4 cup Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Sauce (or to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of cheddar and mozzarella)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Garnish and Serving
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
- Tortilla chips, celery sticks, or carrot sticks (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch or blue cheese dressing, Frank’s Buffalo Sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and evenly mixed.
- Add Chicken and Cheese: Fold in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese until everything is well incorporated.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread the mixture evenly into a baking dish, such as an 8-inch square or similar size casserole dish.
- Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top for a bubbly, cheesy crust.
- Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or carrot sticks for dipping.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of Buffalo Sauce to make the dip milder or spicier according to your preference.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated before serving.
- For a thicker dip, reduce the sour cream slightly or add extra cheese.
- Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds extra flavor, but freshly cooked chicken breast shredded also works well.
