Ingredients
Scale
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups pretzels
- 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 3 cups Chex (rice or corn)
- 1/2 cup salted peanuts
- 1 cup pastel M&M’s (Easter M&M’s)
- 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles
Chocolate Coating
- 10 ounces white chocolate (Ghirardelli wafers recommended)
Instructions
- Melt the White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pretzels, Honey Nut Cheerios, Chex cereal, salted peanuts, pastel M&M’s, and pastel sprinkles. Gently toss to distribute evenly.
- Combine Chocolate and Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to gently fold and coat all pieces thoroughly without breaking them.
- Spread and Set: Spread the coated mix evenly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or large tray. Let it cool at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, about 20-30 minutes, or speed up the process by placing in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- Break and Serve: Once set, break the mix into bite-sized clusters and serve or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
- Use good quality white chocolate for a creamy and smooth coating.
- Be gentle when mixing to avoid crushing the cereal and pretzels.
- For a quicker setting, refrigerate the mix after coating with chocolate.
- Store the snack mix in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge during warm weather.
- You can substitute the pastel M&M’s with regular M&M’s if desired.
