Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Dough: Line a baking sheet with wax paper. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined. Gradually add the heat-treated flour, starting with 1/2 cup, mixing just until incorporated and the dough holds together like cookie dough. Stir in the milk chocolate chips thoroughly.
- Form and Freeze Dough Balls: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Place the tray in the freezer and chill for 15 to 30 minutes or until firm to the touch.
- Melt Chocolate and Dip Dough Balls: Gently melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave at 50% power, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth. Using a fork, dip each chilled cookie dough ball fully into the melted chocolate, tapping off excess chocolate on the edge of the bowl. Return the coated truffles to the wax paper-lined sheet. Immediately sprinkle with sea salt or your choice of toppings, if desired. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
