Scale
Cheese Mixture
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz diced pimentos, drained
Seasonings and Bindings
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

- Mix Cheese and Pimentos: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and drained diced pimentos.
- Add Mayonnaise and Spices: Stir in the mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined into a creamy spread.
- Chill: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and the spread to firm up.
- Serve: Once chilled, serve the pimento cheese spread with crackers, celery sticks, or use it as a sandwich filling.
Notes
- Adjust the cayenne pepper to taste for desired spice level.
- Use sharp cheddar for the best flavor, but mild cheddar can be used as a substitute.
- Chilling is important to let flavors develop and the spread firm up.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
