Description

Garlic Butter Chicken Bites are tender, bite-sized pieces of chicken breast seasoned with a blend of spices and cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce. This quick and easy skillet recipe features a perfect balance of savory garlic, buttery richness, and a hint of lemon for brightness. Ideal for a weeknight dinner, this dish serves four and pairs wonderfully with rice, pasta, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken. Combine chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, ensuring each piece is evenly coated for maximum flavor.
  2. Cook the chicken. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare the garlic butter sauce. In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add liquids and simmer. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring this mixture to a gentle simmer to develop the flavors.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet. Toss the cooked chicken bites back into the skillet and coat thoroughly with the garlic butter sauce. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through and meld the flavors.
  6. Garnish and serve. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the chicken bites just before serving to add color and freshness.

Notes

  • To ensure even cooking, cut chicken into uniform bite-sized pieces.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic according to your preference for a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
  • Use unsalted butter to better control the salt level in the dish.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
