Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasonings
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thinly
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Vegetables and Herbs
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Cheeses and Wrap
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Heat the Oil and Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Cook the Chicken: Season the sliced chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Spinach and Tomatoes: In the same skillet, add the chopped spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted and the tomatoes are heated through.
- Warm the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in the skillet for about 20 seconds on each side to make them pliable for rolling.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each warmed tortilla flat, and evenly distribute the garlic chicken, sautéed spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese onto each.
- Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to secure the filling inside.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle each wrap with fresh chopped basil as a garnish and serve immediately.
Notes
- For added heat, you can sprinkle red pepper flakes while cooking the chicken.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute the flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps.
- Leftover wraps can be reheated in a skillet or sandwich press to melt the cheese and crisp the tortilla.
- You can add other fresh vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor and nutrition.
