Description

Garlic Cheesy Chicken Wraps are a delicious and quick meal featuring tender garlic-seasoned chicken, melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, fresh spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes all wrapped in warm flour tortillas. Perfect for a flavorful lunch or dinner that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasonings

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thinly
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetables and Herbs

  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Cheeses and Wrap

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil and Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Season the sliced chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Spinach and Tomatoes: In the same skillet, add the chopped spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted and the tomatoes are heated through.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in the skillet for about 20 seconds on each side to make them pliable for rolling.
  5. Assemble the Wraps: Lay each warmed tortilla flat, and evenly distribute the garlic chicken, sautéed spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese onto each.
  6. Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to secure the filling inside.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle each wrap with fresh chopped basil as a garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added heat, you can sprinkle red pepper flakes while cooking the chicken.
  • To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute the flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps.
  • Leftover wraps can be reheated in a skillet or sandwich press to melt the cheese and crisp the tortilla.
  • You can add other fresh vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor and nutrition.
