Ingredients
Scale
Fries
- 28 ounce (794 g) bag of frozen french fries
- 1/4 cup (59 ml) vegetable oil, divided
Garlic Oil and Seasoning
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 handful fresh parsley, finely minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450 °F (232 °C) and spray two baking sheets with cooking spray. Set aside.
- Coat the Fries: In a large bowl, add the frozen french fries. Drizzle half of the vegetable oil over the fries and toss well to coat evenly.
- Bake the Fries: Divide the fries evenly between the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the fries begin to brown and turn tender.
- Increase Oven Temperature: After 10 minutes of baking, raise the oven temperature to 500 °F (260 °C) and continue baking for another 7-10 minutes, until the fries are crisp and deeply golden brown.
- Prepare Garlic Oil: While the fries are baking, combine the remaining vegetable oil, minced garlic, and minced fresh parsley in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to distribute the flavors.
- Toss with Garlic Oil: Once the fries are cooked, immediately transfer them to the bowl with the garlic oil using tongs. Toss the fries until they are well coated with the fragrant oil and herbs.
- Season and Serve: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the garlic fries hot for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, use a convection oven if available.
- Adjust the amount of garlic according to taste preference.
- Use fresh parsley for best flavor; dried parsley can be substituted but use less.
- Serve immediately to maintain the fries’ crisp texture.
- These fries are great as a side dish or party snack.
