Description

Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps offer a fun and flavorful twist on the classic cheeseburger. Ground beef is seasoned and cooked with aromatic onions and spices, then wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with melted cheddar cheese and optional fresh toppings. Pan-grilled to golden perfection, these wraps are crispy on the outside and bursting with savory goodness inside—perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Wraps and Cheese

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Mayo

For Grilling

  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add the finely chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until the onion softens and the beef is thoroughly cooked. Remove from heat.
  2. Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla on a flat surface. Spoon approximately one-quarter of the cooked beef mixture into the center of the tortilla. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and add any optional toppings like pickles, lettuce, or tomato. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly like a burrito, tucking the sides in as you roll.
  3. Grill the Wraps: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush the outside of each wrap with melted butter or olive oil. Place the wraps seam-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the wraps are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and let them cool for a minute. Slice in half and serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef for a leaner option.
  • Feel free to customize with your favorite cheese or additional toppings like jalapeños or avocado.
  • To save time, prepare the beef mixture ahead and refrigerate until ready to assemble.
  • Butter gives a richer flavor for grilling, while olive oil offers a lighter option.
  • Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier twist.
