Description

These homemade pizza rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer. Made with refrigerated pizza crust, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, and pepperoni, they bake to a golden perfection and pair perfectly with marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Rolls

  • 2 tubes of refrigerated pizza crust
  • Garlic salt, to taste
  • Italian seasoning, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sliced and chopped pepperoni

Dipping Sauce

  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the pizza rolls to a golden brown.
  2. Prepare Dough: Lightly dust a large surface with flour and roll out each tube of pizza crust to create thin, even layers for filling.
  3. Season Dough: Sprinkle garlic salt and Italian seasoning evenly over the surface of each rolled-out crust to add flavor to the dough.
  4. Add Fillings: Evenly distribute mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chopped pepperoni over the crust, leaving about ½ inch space around the edges to help seal the rolls.
  5. Roll Dough: Starting with a short end, carefully roll the crust into a tight log to encase the fillings.
  6. Slice Rolls: Using a serrated knife or pizza cutter, slice each log into 1-inch sections to form individual pizza rolls.
  7. Arrange on Pan: Place the pizza rolls on a lightly greased baking pan, spacing them evenly to allow for even baking.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping, while warm and flavorful.

Notes

  • Ensure the pizza crust is rolled evenly for consistent cooking.
  • Feel free to substitute pepperoni with other favorite pizza toppings.
  • Use a serrated knife or pizza cutter to get clean slices without squishing the rolls.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
  • Store leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispness.
