Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 2–3 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Pinch of salt
Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional: extra shredded cheese
- Optional: sliced jalapeños for topping
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Shape Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza or crescent roll dough into a rectangle shape on a clean surface. Cut the dough into 12 equal squares for individual rolls.
- Fill Rolls: Spoon a portion of the jalapeño popper filling into the center of each dough square. Gently pinch the edges of the dough squares together to seal the filling inside and shape each into a ball.
- Arrange and Top: Place the formed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the melted butter to achieve a golden, shiny crust. For extra flavor and visual appeal, sprinkle additional shredded cheese and place sliced jalapeños on top if desired.
- Bake: Bake the stuffed rolls in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and the cheese topping bubbles.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving. Enjoy warm as a flavorful appetizer or snack.
Notes
- Use fewer jalapeños or substitute pickled jalapeños for a milder spice level.
- These rolls are ideal for parties and can be prepared ahead of time, then baked just before serving.
- For a vegetarian version, omit bacon or replace it with a plant-based alternative.
