Description

A refreshing and tangy Kiwi Lemonade made with fresh mashed kiwis, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a touch of sugar, perfect for a cool summer drink to enjoy chilled over ice.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 8 mashed kiwis
  • Juice of 7 lemons

Sweetener

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

Liquid

  • 8-10 cups water

Instructions

  1. Combine Kiwis and Sugar: In a large glass pitcher, add the mashed kiwis and granulated sugar, stirring gently to start melding the flavors together.
  2. Add Lemon Juice: Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice from 7 lemons to add a bright citrus tang to the drink.
  3. Add Water and Adjust Taste: Fill the pitcher with 8 to 10 cups of water, stirring and tasting as you go to achieve the preferred level of tanginess and sweetness.
  4. Mix Thoroughly: Stir the mixture well until all the sugar is completely dissolved and the ingredients are fully combined.
  5. Chill the Lemonade: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and for the drink to cool.
  6. Serve: Pour the chilled lemonade over ice cubes and enjoy a refreshing, fruity beverage.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of water based on your desired strength of flavor.
  • Use ripe kiwis for the best sweetness and vibrant flavor.
  • Chilling the lemonade longer enhances the taste.
  • Optionally, add mint leaves for an extra refreshing twist.
  • For a sparkling version, substitute plain water with sparkling water just before serving.
