Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Marinade
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, dried rosemary or thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Marinate the Steaks: Place the ribeye steaks in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat for deeper taste.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and a good sear.
- Prepare the Steaks for Cooking: Take the steaks out of the marinade and let them come to room temperature for about 10 minutes. Pat them dry slightly with paper towels; this helps achieve a better crust when cooking.
- Cook the Steaks: Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time, to reach medium-rare doneness. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your steak more or less cooked, or based on thickness.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve sliced and enjoy your perfectly cooked ribeye steak.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pat of garlic herb butter on top of the steak right after cooking while it’s still hot.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
