Description

This Melt-In-Your-Mouth Chicken Breast recipe features juicy, tender chicken breasts perfectly seasoned and seared before being baked to perfection. The combination of aromatic spices and butter results in a flavorful and moist dish that’s easy to prepare and ideal for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the chicken.
  2. Season Chicken: Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to season thoroughly.
  3. Heat Skillet and Melt Butter: Place a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter in it to prepare for searing the chicken.
  4. Sear Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the hot skillet and sear each side for 2 to 3 minutes until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust.
  5. Bake Chicken: Transfer the skillet directly to the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) indicating it is fully cooked and safe to eat.
  6. Rest Chicken: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken breasts rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute, ensuring moistness.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken breasts for a burst of color and flavor, then slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature for perfectly cooked chicken.
  • If you don’t have an ovenproof skillet, sear the chicken in a regular skillet, then transfer to a baking dish for the oven step.
  • Letting the chicken rest after baking is important for juicy results.
  • Fresh parsley is optional but adds a fresh, vibrant flavor and appearance.
  • You can swap smoked paprika for regular paprika for less smokiness if preferred.
