Description

These Nutella Cream-Filled Crepes are delicate, thin pancakes filled with a luscious Nutella and whipped cream mixture. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, they are served with a dusting of powdered sugar and fresh berries for a sweet and elegant treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Crepe Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Nutella Cream Filling

  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

To Serve

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, etc.)
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crepe Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, salt, and granulated sugar until the batter is smooth and thin without lumps. For best results, let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes to improve texture.
  2. Heat the Pan: Warm a nonstick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat, lightly greasing it with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Cook the Crepes: Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet, immediately swirling the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift.
  4. Flip and Finish Cooking: Flip the crepe carefully and cook the other side for 30 seconds to 1 minute until golden brown. Remove the crepe and place it on a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the crepes and keeping them warm by covering with a clean towel or placing briefly in a low-heat oven.
  5. Make the Nutella Cream Filling: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the Nutella until fully combined for a creamy, spreadable filling.
  6. Assemble the Crepes: Spread a layer of Nutella cream filling over each crepe and roll or fold them. Arrange the filled crepes on serving plates.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Dust the crepes with powdered sugar, add fresh berries on the side, and top with extra whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Allowing the batter to rest improves the texture and prevents tearing.
  • Use a nonstick skillet or crepe pan for even cooking and easy flipping.
  • Keep cooked crepes warm by covering or placing in a low oven to prevent drying out.
  • You can substitute heavy whipping cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • Fresh berries add a nice tart contrast to the sweet Nutella filling.
