Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Marinade & Cooking
- ½ cup Bachman’s Japanese BBQ sauce (or your favorite BBQ sauce)
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into a ziplock bag and pour in ½ cup of your favorite Japanese BBQ sauce. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the chicken to soak up all the flavors.
- Preheat Grill: Heat your grill to high, about 450°F (232°C), ensuring the grates are clean and ready for grilling.
- Prepare Grill Grates: Spray the grill grates with nonstick cooking spray or use tongs to rub an oiled paper towel over them to prevent sticking during cooking.
- Grill Chicken: Place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill. Immediately reduce the heat to medium-high and close the lid. Grill the chicken for 6 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 6 minutes on the other side. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (68°C) for optimal juiciness and safety.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken breasts from the grill and let them rest for at least 10 minutes. This resting time allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender and flavorful chicken. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Marinating overnight enhances the flavor and tenderness of the chicken.
- Always use a meat thermometer to check doneness for safe consumption.
- If you don’t have Japanese BBQ sauce, substitute with any favorite BBQ sauce of your choice.
- Resting the meat after grilling improves juiciness and texture.
- For a smoky flavor, you can add soaked wood chips to your grill while cooking.
