Scale
Slider Components
- 12 slider buns
- 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
- 12 slices of cheese (provolone, Swiss, or cheddar)
- 1/2 cup caramelized onions (optional)
Sauces & Toppings
- 1/4 cup horseradish sauce or Dijon mustard sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the sliders.
- Prepare the Buns: Slice the slider buns horizontally in half and arrange the bottom halves in a baking dish, creating a flat base for the sandwich layering.
- Layer the Ingredients: Spread your choice of horseradish sauce or Dijon mustard over the bottom halves. Add a layer of thinly sliced roast beef, followed by a slice of your preferred cheese. Add caramelized onions if using, for an extra depth of flavor.
- Top and Season: Place the top halves of the buns on the layered ingredients. Combine melted butter with garlic powder, then brush this mixture generously over the top buns. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top if desired for added texture and flavor.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes, just until the cheese melts thoroughly. To crisp the tops, remove the foil for the last 2 minutes of baking.
- Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and serve the sliders immediately while warm, ensuring maximum flavor and enjoyment.
Notes
- Caramelized onions add a sweet, rich flavor but can be omitted if preferred.
- You can use any type of cheese that melts well, like provolone, Swiss, or cheddar.
- For a spicier kick, choose horseradish sauce over Dijon mustard.
- Brush the tops generously with garlic butter for optimal flavor and moisture.
- Sliders are best served immediately but can be reheated covered in the oven to preserve softness.
