Description

A fresh and vibrant appetizer featuring sushi-grade tuna marinated in a spicy soy and Sriracha sauce, paired with creamy avocado and served on crispy baked wonton chips. Garnished with toasted sesame seeds and microgreens for an elegant touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Tartare Mixture

  • 8 oz sushi-grade tuna, diced
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped (green parts only)
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)

For Serving & Garnish

  • 12 crispy wonton chips
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Microgreens or cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wonton Chips: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread store-bought wonton chips evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crisp. Remove and let cool.
  2. Mix Tuna: In a medium bowl, gently combine the diced sushi-grade tuna with low-sodium soy sauce and Sriracha sauce, stirring carefully to coat the tuna evenly without breaking it apart.
  3. Add Avocado: Carefully fold the diced avocado into the tuna mixture to preserve its creamy texture while blending flavors smoothly.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle the finely chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds over the tuna and avocado mixture to add freshness and crunch.
  5. Serve: Just before serving, generously scoop spoonfuls of the spicy tuna tartare onto each crispy wonton chip. Garnish with microgreens or cilantro for a vibrant presentation and enjoy immediately to keep the wontons crisp.

Notes

  • Use sushi-grade tuna for best flavor and safety.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha sauce to control the spice level to your preference.
  • Bake wonton chips just before serving to maintain maximum crispiness.
  • Can be served as an elegant appetizer or party canapé.
