Description

A refreshing and tropical Strawberry Piña Colada made with frozen strawberries, pineapple, coconut cream, and an optional splash of white rum. This creamy, fruity blend is perfect as a chilled summer drink or a non-alcoholic smoothie.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits & Juice

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice

Dairy & Alcohol

  • 1/2 cup coconut cream (such as Coco López)
  • 1/4 cup white rum (optional)

Other

  • 1/2 cup ice
  • fresh strawberry or pineapple wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, coconut cream, white rum (if using), and ice.
  2. Blend Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth, creamy, and well combined, ensuring there are no large chunks of fruit or ice left.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Taste the piña colada and adjust the sweetness or thickness by adding more pineapple juice for sweetness or additional ice for a thicker texture. Blend briefly again if any additions were made.
  4. Serve: Pour the blended drink into chilled glasses, garnish each with a fresh strawberry or pineapple wedge, and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the white rum; the drink remains tropical and delicious.
  • You can use fresh strawberries and pineapple instead of frozen, but add extra ice to achieve a thick, frozen texture.
  • If coconut cream is too thick or rich, you can substitute with coconut milk for a lighter version.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding a touch of honey or agave syrup if desired.
