Description

This Tzatziki Chicken Naan Pizza combines the best of Mediterranean flavors with the convenience of naan bread as a crispy base. Featuring tender cooked chicken, creamy tzatziki sauce, fresh spinach, tomatoes, and tangy feta cheese, it’s a quick and delicious meal ready in just 22 minutes, perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 2 naan breads
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Fresh parsley or dill (for garnish)

Sauce

  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat, ensuring a hot surface for crisping the naan breads.
  2. Prepare naan base: Brush each naan bread lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, then place them on the preheated baking sheet to start warming.
  3. Add cheese: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over each naan, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges to keep the crust crisp.
  4. Bake cheese layer: Bake the naan with cheese for 5 to 7 minutes until the cheese melts, bubbles, and the naan edges become slightly golden.
  5. Add toppings: Remove the naan from the oven and layer on the cooked chicken, thinly sliced red onion, and halved cherry tomatoes evenly over the melted cheese.
  6. Bake again: Return the pizzas to the oven for another 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the toppings to warm through and meld with the cheese.
  7. Finish with sauce and garnish: Remove the naan pizzas from the oven, drizzle generously with tzatziki sauce, then sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese and fresh parsley or dill for an added burst of flavor and freshness.
  8. Serve: Slice the pizzas into portions and serve immediately to enjoy them warm and flavorful.

Notes

  • You can make your own tzatziki sauce with Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and fresh dill if desired.
  • If you prefer a crispier crust, brush the naan with extra olive oil before adding the toppings.
  • Feel free to add other toppings such as kalamata olives or bell peppers to customize the pizza.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
