- 2 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow fluff (marshmallow cream)
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring (as desired)
Decoration
- Witch or spooky sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and marshmallow fluff to have them ready for mixing later.
- Butter the Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly with butter to ensure the fudge doesn’t stick.
- Make the Sugar Mixture: In a large saucepan (at least 4 quarts), add the sugar, unsalted butter, and evaporated milk together.
- Heat the Mixture: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil to Temperature: Continue boiling the mixture for 5 minutes or until it reaches 235°F (113°C) to achieve the right fudge consistency.
- Combine Ingredients: Carefully pour the hot sugar mixture over the white chocolate and marshmallow fluff in the bowl.
- Stir to Melt: Quickly stir the mixture until the chocolate and marshmallow fluff fully melt and the fudge base is smooth.
- Add Flavor and Color: Stir in vanilla extract and green food coloring evenly to give it the iconic Wicked Witch green color.
- Pour and Decorate: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared 9×13-inch pan. Immediately sprinkle witch-themed or spooky decorative sprinkles on top.
- Cool and Slice: Allow the fudge to cool completely at room temperature before cutting it into 1-inch squares for serving.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer to ensure an accurate temperature of 235°F for proper fudge texture.
- If you prefer a different shade of green, adjust the amount of green food coloring gradually.
- Storage: Keep fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- For a creamier texture, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream when stirring in the vanilla extract.
- Be cautious when pouring the hot sugar mixture to avoid burns.
